The BACTERIOLOGY magazine has been published since 2016. It publishes the works of leading scientists from specialized scientific institutions of Russia and the CIS countries, as well as practitioners of practical healthcare. It is the only scientific and practical publication in the Russian Federation specializing in covering a wide range of issues of especially dangerous infectious diseases, sanitary protection of the territory of the Russian Federation and CIS member states, as well as the problems of providing anti-epidemic protection of the population from biological threats.
The editor-in-chief of the journal is Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor I.A. Dyatlov.
The journal is registered by the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media. Registration certificate PI No. FS77-66792 dated 15.08.2016. The international standard serial number (ISSN) of the journal is ISSN 2500-1027. The magazine is quarterly (4 issues per year), the volume of the magazine is 12-14 conventional printed sheets (96-112 A4 pages). The journal is peer-reviewed.
The magazine is distributed by subscription. Subscribers are the institutions of Rospotrebnadzor (Directorates, Centers of Hygiene and Epidemiology, Anti-Plague Institutes, Anti-Plague Stations), federal state scientific institutions, and specialized research institutes of Russia.
The editorial board invites scientists and specialists from specialized institutions of science and health to cooperate. Problematic, original articles, scientific reviews, brief reports, discussion materials on epidemiology, microbiology, genetics, biotechnology, immunology, laboratory diagnostics and prevention of especially dangerous and natural focal infections, as well as on the problems of sanitary protection, biological safety and bioterrorism. Works must be formatted in accordance with the rules for authors.
The main goal of the journal is to inform the scientific community and practical health care workers on a wide range of issues of especially dangerous, natural focal, socially significant infections, biological safety, epidemiological surveillance, sanitary protection of territories, and ensuring anti-epidemic protection of the population from biological threats.
